My path from finance into SAP consulting connects business requirements with technical implementation.

Career

Alexander Driediger, SAP FI/CO consultant

My career began in accounting, including asset accounting and invoice verification. This led to the move into SAP consulting, most recently with responsibility as sub-project lead and project lead in S/4HANA transformations, international rollouts and payment projects.

Today, with AD SAP Consulting, I advise companies on SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling, as well as on SAP ECC, which I worked with myself for many years.

Key areas

FI/CO consulting: process consulting, design, customizing and support in financial accounting and controlling (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, FI-BL, CO-OM, CO-PA, CO-PC).
Transformation and migration: brownfield conversion, data migration and customer-vendor integration (business partner).

S/4HANA conversion

Global brownfield transformation of an internationally operating industrial company in a big-bang approach, implemented as a downtime-optimized conversion.

Business partner (CVI)

Customer-vendor integration for the S/4HANA migration of a public administration organization: BP roles, number ranges, synchronization runs and master data cleansing.

Role: design and implementation

International rollouts

13 rollouts and company integrations in Europe, North America and Asia, with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, including the carve-in of acquired companies.

Role: sub-project lead FI/CO, in some cases overall project lead

ISO 20022 payments

International conversion across around 10 country subsidiaries: payment medium formats to pain, bank statements from MT940 to camt, posting rules, connected solutions for payment and cash management, bank tests and cutover.

Incoming invoice automation

Implementation of an SAP-integrated solution for incoming invoice processing in 6 countries, from process analysis through customizing and testing to on-site training.

Data migration

Design and execution of FI/CO data migrations in rollouts and company integrations, including from non-SAP systems to SAP.

Role: sub-project lead FI/CO

Education and languages

Master of Science in Business Consulting & Digital Management (FOM), Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and the German business administration qualification Betriebswirt (VWA), each completed part-time while working.

Project languages are German and English (business fluent).
